WHO'D BE CONVINCED THAT TRINITY UNIVERSITY OF ASIA IS AMONG THE BEST UNIVERSITIES IN THE PHILIPPINES?

Trinity University of Asia (TUA) claims to be one of the best universities in the country as it describes itself in the following: " . . . The University consistenly tops licensure examinations for nurses, medical technologists, and teaches. Now an emerging leader in the education of the country's top artists, computer scientists, bankers, business managers and entrepreneurs." (http://www.tua.edu.ph/abouttua.php)

My only question is: Why has not the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) granted even a single college unit of TUA with the distinction of being a Center of Excellence (COE)or Center of Development (COD)?

I checked the Wikipedia about what COE and COD are according to the CHED:

"Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Centers of Development (CODs) are higher education institutions (HEIs) both public and private which have demonstrated the highest degree or level of standards along the areas of instruction, research and extension. These provide institutional leadership in all aspects of development in specific areas of discipline in the various regions by providing networking arrangements to help ensure the accelerated development of Higher Educational Institutions in their respective service areas.[citation needed]"

As of 4 October 2010, COEs and CODs have been declared by the CHED in the following Philippine universities:
